Cut the Rope: Experiments (best free apps)
The original Cut the Rope is one of the most popular games in app history with over 100 million downloads. My kids and wife love the app, including my six-year old who can't get very far by herself but still loves to play.
The object of the game is to feed a little green alien named Om Nom the candy he craves. This can only be done through cutting a series of ropes in the right order and at the right times. It is classified as a game, but I don't think that does it justice as it takes A LOT of thought and trial and error to get through the app. It's not ABC-123 educational but I still put it in that category.
This app, Cut The Rope Experiments, was the first sequel and the player can use all sorts of things other than ropes to get Om Nom his candy. It's a must-try if you and your kids haven't yet and a great play-together apps for younger kids who won't be able to get through it themselves.
