eduDroid (free Android apps for kids)

eduDroid is not a very polished app and in several spots is missing important things like images that are supposed to appear, but it includes a HUGE volume of material. There are word searches, handwriting, phonics, spelling, reading, eBooks, quizzes, multiplication, number bonds, precision teaching, sound recording, money counting, hundreds tens and units, time, and flash cards in eduDroid. So, it's definitely worth a download - if for no other reason to see if the developers get closer to reaching this app's potential.

Please note that this is a UK developer so the money sections are UK money.

Are you a school, teacher or parent and would like to use android device(s) for your child's education and learning? If so, our content is aimed at children in KS1, KS2, children with SEND and it can also be used in secondary schools.

Current learning content includes... word searches, handwriting, phonics, spelling, reading, eBooks, quizzes, multiplication, number bonds, precision teaching, sound recording, money counting, hundreds tens and units, time, flash cards and more... all in one app.

Children can explore eduDroid on their own or by using it as teaching tool with you.

**Parents**

To activate the app lock: Select adult mode from the menu then type in "p@rent" as the password. Select the apps you wish to lock and turn the app lock on.

**Schools**

eduDroid is all about children learning and engaging with technology. Our aim is to be able to assist children in development in EVERY lesson without devices or software breaking the school budget.

We have designed our system to allow easy management of a network of android devices with no limit on how many devices the school operates. Once the latest update has been uploaded to your server your devices will self-update automatically. The major benefits of this are time-saving and no need to have the Play Store activated on each device.

Once you have eduDroid set up in school mode you have access to...

Sessions - Create your own content for each module or differentiate to a class or individual child's needs. Adults can also block modules they do not want being used so the children stay on task.

Internet Browsing - Type up to 5 web addresses per session to give your pupils' instant access to the websites you want. (This is a huge time saver).

Voting pads - Turn all of your android devices into a class voting system. Adults have the ability to pause voting, add extra questions and get instant feedback from the class. Results are instantly displayed on the adult's device.

Print - If your network printers are compatible you can also print directly to them.

Direct Links - Add auto-logins to sites like education city to make your tablets even more valuable to your class.

By purchasing eduDroid for your school you can distribute unlock codes to parents so that the child's learning can continue at home.

Visit http://www.eduDroid.co.uk for more information.

*Cost - At the moment our app is free, however, there will be a small yearly cost of £150 to schools and 99p to parents to help us to continue making the app.
