PiktoPlus AAC Speech Symbols

"PiktoPlus 3.0.: Augmentative communication system with 3D and 2D pictograms. We have adapted the development as well as the technology 3D of PiktoPlus, so that the App can be run on any Android tablet from version 2.3. You do not have the need to buy a high-cost tablet. PiktoPlus is aimed at both children and adults, especially those with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injury (DCA), Down syndrome and any difficulties in oral communication. Within PiktoPlus the users create their own avatar or PiktoME 3D: Then every 3D pictogram will be transformed with the appearance of the user (playing, running, eating, drinking, drawing, happy, sad etc.)."

Niki talk

"Niki Talk is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) application. It was originated from Alessandro La Rocca in collaboration with a therapist specialized in AAC and assistive technologies. Like many parents, frustrated about available solutions for AAC, he wanted to create an easy and versatile tool to allow his daughter Niki to communicate effectively. Now Niki Talk can help all the children with autism or any disability that impairs the ability to communicate. Niki Talk plays an album, that is a collection of pictures (including related text and speech) customized to meet the user preferences. Pictures can be organized by categories (verbs, foods, drinks, places, toys, movies)."

AAC Speech Communicator

"An Android application for people with speech disabilities, a generic and easy to learn communication method for anyone with speech disabilities that forms grammatically correct sentences from a list of pictograms clicked and reads them (text-to-speech). Because of pictograms it's especially good for children on ones who have limited reading abilities. It is different from most of existing products by being free, by its grammatically correct natural language generation features (inflection, tenses, using the setting user gender to alter first person sentences1 and more) and by usage of gesture search on mobile phones where keyboard is not reliable because is small screen. Also, my friends have found it to be a fun toy to learn basics of foreign language :) The application includes ~5000 icons obtained from arasaac.org, where ~900 are properly categorized, and others are accessible through search. It supports French language well, and there is an early prototype for English too."
