12 Free Apps From K12 (best free educational Android kids apps)

My intention was to write about Choc-It-Up! because I stumbled across it the other day and it was so good that I wanted to share it with you. Not only is it a Fully Free math app, but it is so excellently presented and has a great idea of motivating kids with chocolate. Virtual of course! Then I discovered that the developer, K12, has other Fully Free apps as well as free apps with in-app purchases and free lite version apps too. So here is today's Super Sunday Free List.

From the developer:
Our award-winning curriculum and learning environment—people, services, tools, and training—are a powerful combination. This exceptional experience is delivered through tuition-free K¹² public school partners and our online private schools.

K12 Choc-It-Up

Play fun games, collect chocolate, and stock the Choc-It-Up store with yummy treats. Choc-It-Up is a game for practicing number, letter, shape and color recognition. Each game has a target. Search chocolate pieces on trays to find the ones that match the target. If the target is “Red,” tap chocolate pieces with red shapes. If the target is “Vowels,” tap chocolate pieces with vowels on them. Collect all the chocolate pieces before time runs out. Then go to the store to melt chocolate and make it into different shapes.

K12 Equivalence Tiles

K12 Equivalence Tiles lets you compare the values of fractions, decimals, and percents up to 1 by using draggable tiles of varying values. Fractions, decimals, and percents are used in everyday life—this app is a quick way for students to understand how they relate simply by dragging and dropping tiles of equivalent value. K12 Equivalence Tiles is not a calculator; it is a tool for students who have trouble understanding rational number equivalence (for example, 0.5, 1/2, 50% are all equal). This tool also allows students to visually perform simple operations like addition, subtraction, comparison, and ordering.
