Holidays - a fun new Easter app for preschoolers (best Android kids apps)

Ok peoples, I have to share this with you! We have already posted at least a dozen Easter apps, but this is one you cannot pass up! Holidays is fresh on the Google Play store (think of the egg having just been laid - this egg is still warm!!) and is perhaps the best new Easter app for 2014. Top quality, easy to navigate and chock full of educational games for kids. I think $0.99 is very well spent here. Take it from me, this price will not last so get it cheep cheep now!

Jan Essig is a name you need to have on your watchlist. Holidays is a perfect example of the kind of thoughtfulness and detail you can expect from this developer. There are no ads, no in-app purchases and all external links are locked from little fingers. But that is not all! Built into Essig's apps is the ability to set a time limit so you know your child will not be playing this for hours.

Holidays has four great Easter themed games: tic-tac-toe, the shell game (a variation of the game with ladybirds), whack-a-mole (except it is a bunny) and a memory sequence game. Actually, I am not sure of the link between trousered ladybirds and Easter, but anyway! My youngest daughter's favorite is the memory sequence game, which I am really pleased about because the longer the sequence that she can remember, the better she will be at literacy and numeracy. The only problem is that she would like to also create her own sequences. As it is, we are having a lot of fun with this one and I cannot recommend it enough.

Holidays is a fun & educational collection of 4 nice little easter games for kids aged 4-7 years old.
The games included in Holidays are:
• TICTACTOE: You can play Tic Tac Toe against your device or against a friend
• THIMBLERIG: Find the Ladybug with the blue Trowser
• WHACK-A-MOLE: You have to tap the animals as they pop up - but make sure you get the right ones!
• BUNNY SAYS: Just like the classic ‘Simon Says’ game, animals make sounds and your child has to repeat them in the same order.
While playing all these games in addition to having fun your children are developing and reinforcing all kinds of skills, including:
• An understanding of object permanence
• Spatial and bilateral awareness
• Logic and problem solving
• Persistence
• Independent play
And you don’t have to worry about your children playing independently with my apps because I take their privacy and online safety very seriously. My apps include:
• no links to websites outside the app
• no ads
• no data collection or tracking
• no social media sharing
• no in-app purchases

Cas just spent the week staying in a holiday house 2 minutes walk from the beach, but never actually got her feet wet.
